Rd 3 Pennant Wrap – Women�s A1 �Sanderson Cup�

The Grange remains undefeated and top of the table and Kooyonga second, after round three of the ‘Sanderson Cup’ played at Kooyonga.

The defending champions The Grange defeated the home side 4-1 with some close matches played out.

Match five was halved between the undefeated Jodie Deacon and Louise Glennon who was playing her first match since 2014.

Grange secured the next four matches with Jean Foo winning 4&3 over Deb Percey, Caitlin Roberts 2&1 against Lisa Brien, Jin-young Yun 5&4 against Hayley Hunt and Ella Adams 2&1 over Lyn McGough.

In the second contest of the day Blackwood and Glenelg halved 2.5-2.5.

The home side would have been pleased with the outcome after trailing Glenelg 2-0 after number five, Jill Hodge won 6&4 over Paula White and number two Sarah Crocker won 9&7.

Jo Buchanan recorded a fine 6&4 victory over Elysia Yap at number one to keep Blackwood in the contest with matches three and four going the distance.

Crucially for Blackwood Angela Masters squared with Charely Jacobs at number three and Sally Graham won 1up against Matilda Wheare, sharing the points with Glenelg.

Matches recommence on Sunday 19th June at Glenelg following a bye for the Queen’s Birthday.
