Records fly at the Junior Masters

Round two of the 2017 Sportscover Victorian Junior Masters saw an equal course record from NSW’s Grace Kim at the Churchill Park site. Kim shot a 3 under par 70 to sit 1 stroke back from leader Alizza Hetherington (Royal Melbourne) who shot a 70 at the Waverley site.

Commonwealth Golf Clubs Sheradyn Johnson has increased her lead in the U16 Girls after rounds of 74 and 72. Johnson leads New Zealander Rose Zheng by two strokes going into the third round.

Huntingdale Golf Club and Rowville Sports Academies Piper Stubbs has a 3 stroke lead in the U14 Girls.

Anne Fernandez from Singapore has a 20 shot lead in the U12 Girls section.    

There is five player tie in the overall boys section with Tyler Duncan (QLD), Hiroki Miya (NZ), Zachary Maxwell (QLD), Shaun Campbell (NZ) and Victorian Toby Walker all on a total of 143. Tyler Duncan from also leads the U16 Boy’s by one stroke from Jasper Stubbs.

Nathan Page from the National leads the U14 Boy’s by a commanding 5 strokes with a total of 155. Nivethan Kanthan from Spring Valley leads the U12 Boys by two strokes with a total 174.

For the first time in the events history four tournament rounds are played over four days.

The third round draw is seeded and will be re-seeded for the fourth and final round.
