Richardson, who represented Australia at The Ashes earlier this year, had to fight until the 37th hole to snatch victory from fellow Tasmanian Nathan Gatehouse. The win lifts Richardson into the top 10 of the Australian Men&aposs Rankings System. Hall defeated Sarah Johnstone 4&3 in the final to lift the trophy. Johnstone had earlier claimed an upset victory as she defeated Srixon Australian Amateur champion Ashlee Dewhurst on the 19th hole in the semi-finals.
