Ricky Kato has been selected as one of the recipients for the 2012 Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards. Ricky was chosen from a field of outstanding junior golfers for several reasons. Tim Gamso, Chairman of Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards stated to Ricky, “while your exceptional play on the golf course is impressive, it&aposs the way you handle yourself in the classroom, the way you present yourself in the community, and the character you have exhibited in your everyday life that truly sets you apart as an Award winner.” About the Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards The Salesmanship Club created the Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards program shortly after the death of tournament namesake and inspiration, Byron Nelson. The award is positioned to honor Mr. Nelson&aposs legacy as the finest gentleman ever to play the game of golf, and to perpetuate his belief that character, sportsmanship, and competitive ability are integral to overall success in life. Awards Ceremony The Awards Ceremony and related festivities will be held during the 2012 HP Byron Nelson Championship on May 18-20 at the TPC Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas (just outside of Dallas). As an award recipient, Ricky has been invited to an all-expense paid trip to attend the Awards Ceremony.
