Rolls and Tanner win Amp Open

Victorian Mike Rolls has come from three shots back to win the Victorian Amputee Open in a thrilling three-way playoff at the Ballarat Golf Club yesterday.

Kathleen Tanner (NSW) led from start to finish to cruse home to take her 1st Victorian title to go with her Australian Amputee Open win in 2017.

Alan Black produced the best nett score of the day to grab the Seniors open from Bill Bussau (Vic).

For the Ballarat Golf Club, it was the first time hosting the event.

National Inclusion Manager Christian Hamilton said that the Ballarat Golf Club was a great fit for the event.

“We have had a fantastic time here at the Ballarat, Club Manager Michael Phillips and his team came to us at Golf Victoria wanting to do more in the inclusive golf area. They have a great attitude towards inclusion and this event shows their strong commitment.” Hamilton said.

“To bring the event to regional Victoria is also important to us. We have had great support from local media and the Ballarat community. It also showcases the sport to those living with a disability in our regional communities.” Hamilton added.
