Rookie Series hits Sanctuary Lakes

40 players took to the course this morning at the Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club to compete in the seventh Rookie Series event of the year.

With opportunities to qualify for the state final running out, some great scores were returned.

Local Taegen Dodds produced the best gross score of the day with a one over par 37 to take out the under 12 boys.

One stroke behind in runner up was Anton Kovacevic on 38 whilst Christopher Dana took out the under 12 boys net with 29 on a countback.

Not to be outdone were the under nine boys which was taken out by Jack Wilson (39) by one shot from Loius Inifer (40).

Taking out the net prize for the under nine boys was Joshua Burleigh with an incredible 26.

Alex Wu took out the under 16 boys section by three shots from runner up Corben Leong on 46.

Seth Spenceley won the net prize with 31.

The hotly contested under 12 girls section was won by Sophie Man who returned a score of 45 to beat out Seabil Leong.

After a countback to separate a three-way tie Abbey Moule won the net section with a score of 37.

A regular at the top of the leader board Arena Tran took out the under nine girls by four shots from Sakura Yoshizawa.

Joanne Tey returned a score of 40 to beat Deborah Choi and win the under 16 girls section.
