The fourth event on the Rookie Series calendar for 2019 was completed today at Oakleigh GC.
In his first rookie series event, Bohan Gu claimed the under 9 boys section with an impressive 37 off the stick.
The nett prize went to Jack Wilson who fired an excellent nett 23 off a handicap of 17.
In the under 9 girls it was Arena Tran who claimed her third Rookie Series title in a row with a score of 43.
In the nett section it was Emily Wei who would be victorious after her score of 27.
The under 12 boys saw a close battle with Adam Mao winning on a countback after his score of 34.
Mao would defeat Kirk Kryskow on a countback but Kryskow wouldn’t go home empty handed, winning the nett with 24.
In the under 16 girls section, Aleisha Hannam-Lewis came out on top after she finished with 45 off the stick.
Corben Leong proved too strong in the under 16 boys, returning the best score with a five over par 35.
Frey Putra took out the nett section after shooting 50 off a handicap of 16.
The next event on the Rookie Series calendar will be played at Edithvale GC on Saturday June 1.
