To further increase local interest in the event, Golf SA conducted a random sweep for the ISPS HANDA Women’s Australian Open, where all 144 affiliated SA golf clubs, were randomly drawn a player competing in the Championship.
Five Prizes were awarded to clubs, with the major prize a $1,000 marketing grant and a Women’s Open pin flag signed by the Champion, going to Roxby Downs Golf Club who drew the winner Jin Young Ko.
Roxby Downs Golf Club is an 18-hole course located 550km north of Adelaide, in the small mining town of Roxby Downs. The club has 87 members.
Minor prizes (free ticketing allocation for next year) was awarded for runner up, third, greens in regulation and putting average (clubs can win only one prize).
