Kooyonga&aposs Ebony Heard was victorious in the final round of Women&aposs A1 Pennant Royal Adelaide and Kooyonga will contest next weekend&aposs A1 finals after another round of close results in yesterday&aposs final round of women&aposs pennant. Royal Adelaide finished top of the table after yesterday&aposs round five defeat of The Grange, while in the match of the round Kooyonga stole a finals spot courtesy of a hard fought defeat of Glenelg. In yesterday&aposs other match the Golf SA Fringe side finished the season on a high note with a victory over Blackwood. All eyes were on the contest between Kooyonga and Glenelg in yesterday&aposs matches at The Grange, and the contest didn&apost disappoint in going down to the wire to decide next weekend&aposs finalists. For Glenelg, Elysia Yap got her side off to the perfect start with a 1-up win over Rachel Fry while Sophie James also put points on the board with a 3&2 win over Lyn McGough. With Amy Zhou and Emma Ash recording vital points for Kooyonga, the contest came down to the final match between Glenelg&aposs Josie Hodge and Kooyonga&aposs returning number one seed Ebony Heard. It was Rene Erichsen champion Heard who was to prove too strong in the end however, with her 4&3 win over Hodge sealing her team&aposs final berth. Royal Adelaide finished top of the table after the five rounds with a 4 – 1 win over The Grange. Bec Sykes, Jovanna Bozanic, Caitlin Roberts and Sarah King all recorded wins for Royal Adelaide. Golf SA Fringe finished the Women&aposs A1 season on a high note with a 3 – 2 win over Blackwood, courtesy of some dominant displays in the leading matches by top seeds Rachel Taylor, Susan Keylock and Deb Christie.
