Portland’s Jill Treloar & Barbara Bibby have emerged victorious at today’s State Final of the 2016 Royal Women’s Hospital 4BBB. Twenty-nine pairs qualified either through their respective District Finals or the Metropolitan Final to compete in today’s State Final at one of Victoria’s newest layouts, the Greg Norman designed Eastern GC located within the well renowned Yarra Valley region.

In almost perfectly still conditions, Treloar & Bibby returned a nicely combined scorecard on the challenging East Course layout, heading out over the front nine with 22 points before consolidating their round over the closing stretch to take this year’s title by a single point.

In second place, was the Gisborne duo of Jo-Anne McPhee & Melissa Evans who finished the day with a score of 40 points with the Yarra Yarra pair of Anne Hall & Julie Lovett-Tait finishing third with a score of 39 points.

The Royal Women’s Hospital 4BBB event commenced in 2005, generously supporting one of the less well funded areas of women’s health: the consequences of and treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction. Susie Rouffignac (Philanthropy Manager – Royal Women’s Hospital) was grateful to accept the donation on behalf of the hospital and gave an informative presentation to all players. The donation from last year went towards the area of research within urogynaecology (pelvic floor unit).

Continuing support from Golf Victoria for the Royal Women’s Hospital in this vital area of women’s health will enable the further development in the training of doctors, developing new treatments and technologies and providing accessible health information to thousands of women around Victoria.

Thank you to all Victorian clubs for your ongoing support of the Royal Women’s Hospital annual 4BBB event and to The Eastern GC for generously hosting the State Final.
