Royal Women’s Hospital State Final Results

<image="1" align="right" />

Eastern Golf Club duo Jane Neale & Lorraine Watson have backed up their win at The Metropolitan Final two weeks ago to take out the 2017 Royal Women’s Hospital State Final. 35 pairs qualified either through their respective District Finals or the Metropolitan Final to compete in today’s State Final at one of Victoria’s finest courses, Kew Golf Club.

In almost perfectly still conditions, Neale & Watson had a day out on the course and returned an incredible score of 51 stableford points. The pair set up the win with a remarkable front 9 that produced a total of 29 points, with both players combining well and contributing evenly. Throughout her speech, Watson was unable to wipe the smile off her face and said she never imagined holding the trophy for a major golf event. The runners-up prize went to the Cardinia Beaconhills pair of Jenny Chandler & Adrienne Wilson who finished the day with 47 points.

The Royal Women’s Hospital 4BBB event commenced in 2005, generously supporting one of the less well funded areas of women’s health: the consequences of and treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction. Susie Rouffignac (Philanthropy Manager – Royal Women’s Hospital) was delighted to meet and greet the finalists at Kew Golf Club and gave an informative presentation to all the players.

Continuing support from Golf Victoria for the Royal Women’s Hospital in this vital area of women’s health will enable the further development in the training of doctors, developing new treatments and technologies and providing accessible health information to thousands of women around Victoria.

Thank you to all Victorian clubs for your ongoing support of the Royal Women’s Hospital annual 4BBB event and to The Kew GC for generously hosting the State Final.
