Rules Seminars Update

Club Level Rules Accreditation

It has been a very busy period for our Rules staff and committee members and we have now completed the formal Club Level Rules Accreditation Seminars and Exams for 2013. This year saw seminars conducted at: Kogarah, Long Reef, Killara, Lynwood, Oatlands, Camden, Woollahra, Magenta Shores, Wagga Wagga, Finley, Bathurst, Wauchope, Bonville, Catalina & Federal (ACT). Along with a number of less formal club nights, with a few still remaining, it has been a busy but rewarding period.

State Level Rules Accreditation

We have completed the weekend program that includes the seminar component and the on course practical exam, with the written exam about to be completed. We ask the attendees to complete a feedback form and it was pleasing to see so many positive comments about the learning experience and the presenters (of course we are sensible enough to have these completed before exam marks are known). Many thanks to the members and staff at Elanora Country Club for the use of their facilities and excellent service provided. Their efforts contributed greatly to the overall success. Also, a thank you to the attendees whose camaraderie and friendliness also contributed to the overall experience being extremely pleasant for attendees and presenters. We are grateful too for the amount of preparation work put in by the attendees. Many do not appreciate the amount of work contributed by those who participate as presenters and examiners in these programs. This was commented on by many of the attendees and on behalf of the attendees and Golf NSW I express our thanks and gratitude thanks to those Rules committee members and others who volunteered their time and expertise and applied it with such enthusiasm.

Captains & Committee Seminars

These are conducted for captains and committee members to assist in efficient and effective running of competitions included are subject matters such as, resolution of disputes, drafting conditions and local rules for events, how to handle weather disruptions, delays and much more. Attendees have shown great appreciation in their feedback. Most recent sessions have been conducted at Bermagui and Shellharbour. Next will be Coffs Harbour on 8th October for Mid North Coast and Taree on 9th October for Lower North Coast. We are on schedule to have covered all regional and metropolitan areas in NSW by mid 2014.
