Reigning US Women&aposs Open Champion South Korean So Yeon Ryu shot a blistering final round 9 under par 62 to win the 2012 Jamie Farr Toledo Classic Presented by Kroger, Owens-Corning and O-1, by seven shots, Sunday.

Claiming her first LPGA title, as a member, Ryu reeled off nine birdies in a flawless round which separated her from the rest of the field and the three other players with whom she shared the lead entering the final round. Ryu posted birdies at the 3rd, 4th, and then missed relatively short birdie putts at the 7th, 8th but fired up to record six five consecutive birdies from the 9th hole. She birdied the final hole for a 20 under par total seven ahead of nearest challenger, American Angela Stanford.

"I felt really, really great. And I think my birdies finished at 14, yeah, so 15,16,17 I got a par, but it felt like bogies" said Ryu. "Even it felt like a little weird but anyway I finished with a birdie on the last hole, so I felt so great. I&aposm just really really happy and I&aposm so glad to win this tournament. After I win the US Open I don&apost have any wins so that&aposs why I am really waiting for this win. And I heard this tournament supports charity so I&aposm really honored to be champion of this great tournament."

Ryu earned $195,000 for the win and she now leads the LPGA Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year race, ahead of teenage sensation, Lexi Thompson.

rn

Stanford holed a long birdie putt on the final green to shoot a 5 under par 66 and hold outright second place at 13 under, one ahead of South Koreans Chella Choi and Inbee Park.

Australia&aposs Lindsey Wright continued her fine form shooting a final round 4 under par 67 to finish in a tie for 15th at 7 under.

rn

Sarah-Jane Smith completed the rare feat of posting four consecutive par rounds (71, 71, 71, 71) for an even par total and share on 50th place.

rn

Katherine Hull shot two opening rounds on 72 but missed the cut by one stroke, along with fellow Aussies Sarah Kemp (77,75) and Michelle Ellis (74,80)
