Hole In One Attendees – Fri 30 Nov Golf SA s November Golf Month campaign has ended with a Hole in One Competition at the North Adelaide Golf Course. Throughout the afternoon, 41 players attempted a shot (all using Srixon s Z-STAR SL Tour Ball) for the major prize of $10,000. John Treen a member of the West Lakes Golf Club was the closest to an ace, putting his ball from 150 meters, just within the marked out 4 metre zone. John wins a pack of Srixon items. Each player received subsequent shots for minor Srixon prizes, with Josh Fitzpatrick who is the Accountant at The Grange Golf Club, landing closest to the Pin for the day with his ball resting half a foot from glory. Highlight of the night was the presence of Adelaide Strikers (Big Bash League) star cricket players Callum Ferguson and Theo Doropoulos, who participated in a shoot-out with local tournament players Ben Stowe, Cory Baker, Patric Kroschel, Craig Weckert (Golf SA) and Brett Thur (Territory Manager SA for Srixon). Thur took the honours in the shoot-out, before Ferguson and Doropolous then went head to head hitting 5 balls each, with the crafty Doropolous claiming bragging rights. It was a carnival atmosphere behind the 1st green with a BBQ firing (meat kindly supplied by My Butcher) and a mobile Crown bar in place with the new Crown Lager Draft on tap (courtesy of CUB). Attendees included: Club Managers, Golf SA Volunteers & Officials and Hole in One participants. Part proceeds raised on the day supported the Little Heroes Foundation & Junior Golf SA.
