The SA Primary Schools State Golf Carnival was held at Adelaide Shores on 3-4 September.
To make it through to the Championship final a series of Metropolitan and Country Qualifying events were held from mid-June through to early August with approximately 500 primary school students taking part in skill development and qualifying events throughout the state.
The metro qualifying format was changed this year with the introduction of seven qualifying days across the Metropolitan area rather than one event in previous years.
Golf SA linked two-three SAPSASA Districts to central Golf Clubs including; Flagstaff Hill, Mt Osmond, North Adelaide, North Lakes, Tea Tree Gully, West Lakes and Adelaide Shores.
These seven Clubs then played host to qualifying days which included a skill development session, followed by the Qualifying event, all on the same day. All in all 118 metro students participated across the seven qualifying events.
Golf SA’s eight Country Districts conducted skill development and qualifying events for country students in their local zone/district. Over 400 country students participated in regional district qualifying.
In total 131 primary school students made it through to the first day of the State Carnival at Adelaide Shores with students playing off in either the Country Event (70 players) or Metropolitan Event (61 players) on the Executive Course at Adelaide Shores.
Winner of the Boys Metropolitan Event was: Jimmy Luo (Kings Baptist Grammar) gross 61

Winner of the Girls Metro Event was: Nayoung Ku (Magill Primary School) gross 67
