Moving day has seen a number of contenders challenge overnight leader Paul Donahoo who will take a 2 shot lead into what is shaping into an exciting final round. With scores of 68, 66 and 3 under par, 67 today. Donahoo sits comfortably at the top of the leaderboard at 9 under par, 2 shots ahead of Anthony Summers and James Nitties who share 2nd position on 7 under par. Donahoo appears unfazed by his current position nor nervous about being at the top of the leaderboard, “I’m really happy with my play this week, my coach and I have worked hard on my pre shot routine, so I think less about the outcome and more about the process. Its helped with handling the pressure and if I can start well tomorrow I will be in a good position to win”
Summers had 4 birdies and 14 pars to round out his 3rd round with a great score of 66- he has played his last 44 holes bogey free. Crowd favourite James Nitties stormed home with an eagle and birdie from his last 3 holes.

Queenslander Adam Crawford scored joint low round of the day 65, to boost his hopes of winning the title, his fine play moved him up the leaderboard to within 4 shots from the lead at 5 under par. Joining Crawford in a tie for 4th is current leading amateur Jake Higginbottom who finished with a spectacular birdie on the 18th.
Sunday’s final round play commences at 9:15am with the final group of Donahoo, Summers and Nitties due to tee off at 11:00am.
The Newcastle Golf Club is providing spectators and fans the opportunity to watch the Presidents Cup live on one of our large electronic screens. The course is a child friendly environment offering a great atmosphere for a family day out. There are a host of food and beverage services available and entry to the course is free.
