School is out and golf is in at the U16 Classic

With beanies on and jackets zipped up, 70 brave and eager young golfers swarmed on the Waverley Pitch & Putt today for the Term 3 U16 Classic. With the classic as the last event on the school holiday calendar all players had their game faces on, ready to shoot a score they can spread word of, in the school yard on Monday morning.

Will Christensen and Jazy Roberts took home the overall boys and girls titles respectively today in a field full of impressive talent. Both players had plenty of challengers and it was a matter of only a few shots separating first from second position in both the overall boys and girls sections. Brodie Richardson come very close in the boys section to finish just two shots back of Will, and in the girls section Sophie Mann, who is only 9 years old, finished just one shot back of Jazy.

William Li, Anthony Arce, Daniel Nagayo also returned notable scores to take out the U8, U10 & U12 boys sections respectively. While Clare Powell and Charlotte Paonessa did the same in the U8 & U12 girls section.
