The School Sport Australia Golf Championships are returning to Canberra from 10 to 14 August 2015. Students from the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia will compete for individual and team honours.
In its 39th year, the championships have a proud history of former champions; including former world No. 1 Karrie Webb, world top 10 star Jason Day, US Open champion Geoff Ogilvy and Australian Ladies Masters winner Katherine Kirk.
The annual event attracts the best young golfers from around the country. The players will compete at 36 holes of stroke play at Federal Golf Club followed by three grueling days of match play at Queanbeyan, Gungahlin Lakes and Yowani golf clubs.
Highly ranked Australian juniors Cameron John and Doey Choi will be looking to take out the individual events. John will have to contend with past champions Isaac Noh and Josh Armstrong. Choi won last year's event and will be hoping to defend her title.
