Australian Secondary Schools Teams Championship
The Australian Secondary Schools Teams Championship has been played since 1989. It is open to all secondary schools in Australia (i.e. players in years 7 to 12). Each team consists of 3 players (boys, girls or mixed). Each State Association conducts a State Final, with the winning team from each State Final contesting the Australian Final (with all-expenses paid). The Australian Final is played over 36-holes Stableford, with the best two of the three scores to count each day.

The Active After-school Communities (AASC) Program is a free Australian Government initiative that provides primary school children with access to sport after school (3.00pm – 5.30pm).
The program is run nationally through an Australia-wide network of regional coordinators who train community coaches and forge links between children and clubs.

Player Development Pathway
An extensive and successful talent identification and development pathway has been structured within Australian golf from Entry Level to Tour Professional.
Golf Australia, State Associations and Junior Foundations provide programs to assist golfers who wish to develop their game to the fullest potential. Many clubs also devote considerable resources to player development, and encourage individual golfers to play in open tournaments, inter-club competitions, State-level coaching camps, and State and National tournaments.
