Schulze Leading Tasmanian At Mandurah

Tasmania Golf Club’s Mark Schulze was the leading Tasmanian in last week s Mandurah Amateur Open in Western Australia. Schulze carded rounds of 74, 74, 76 and 72 to finish the National ranking event in twenty second place on eight-over-par. Riverside Golf Club junior Samuel Rawlings shot rounds of 74, 79, 71 and 83 to finish in equal thirty ninth position on nineteen-over-par. Victorian and National Squad member Nathan Holman won the event in sensational fashion at the Mandurah Country Club. Holman s final round of 70 comprised five birdies and three bogeys to finish at five-under-par for the tournament. Holman finished one shot clear of local member and runner-up Nick Price and Jordan Zunic of New South Wales on four-under-par. Western Australian s Oliver Goss, Michael Dennis and overnight leader Brady Watt all finished at three-under the card. With the victory, Holman sealed a start in the Western Australian Open Championship in late October at Royal Perth Golf Club.
