South African Charl Schwartzel has cruised to an 11-shot win at the Thailand Golf Championship with Scott Hend the best-placed Australian in a tie for sixth. Schwartzel was never headed throughout the tournament as he closed with a seven-under 65, his third of the week, to finish at 25-under at Amata Spring Country Club. “I played pretty solid. That&aposs been the problem the last two or three months, I have been making a lot of birdies but equalling in bogeys and it&aposs just nice to not make any bogeys,” Schwartzel said. “That&aposs my personal best too.” American Bubba Watson also carded a 65 in the final round to tie for second place at 14-under with Thailand&aposs Thitiphun Chuayprakong, while Spaniard Sergio Garcia was a shot behind after a two-under 70. After a final round 68, Korean Hyun-bin Park finished in fifth place, continuing his consistent tournament. Australian Hend finished every round under par on his way to 10-under for the championship to tie for sixth place alongside Swede Daniel Chopra (75). Darren Beck tied for 17th at seven-under, while Wade Ormsby grabbed a share of 22nd on five-under. Scott Barr finished tied for 39th and Unho Park was equal 43rd, while Adam Groom and Andrew Dodt both finished in 47th position.
