Scott eclipses Sun City

Adam Scott and Trevor Immelman are leading the way after the first round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge at the Sun City course in South Africa. Scott and local South African Immelman both carded impressive five-under 67s on the first day to earn a one-stroke lead over English pair Luke Donald and Justin Rose. Four-time Nedbank winner Ernie Els is one stroke further back on three under alongside Scott&aposs compatriot in Geoff Ogilvy. Scott looked in impressive touch as he produced an eagle on the long 15th hole to go six-under. However, the Australian fluffed his approach on the next hole, landing his approach in the bunker for his only bogey of the round. Immelman, though, also produced a flying start through four consecutive birdies to open his round. The South African went out in 30 and was seven-under following another birdie on 10, but then proceeded to drop shots at 11 and 12 to finish the day on 67 alongside Scott.
