Tumut Golf Club is a vibrant club of both golfers and social members. The board is looking to appoint a Secretary/Manager to manage the club’s operations and finances.
Tumut is a beautiful town in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains with a population of 8,000 people. 4 hours from Sydney, 2 hours from Canberra and an hour from Wagga, Tumut is a well located town a short drive off the Hume Highway.
Tumut Golf Club’s facilities include a top-quality 18-hole course with a drought-proof grey-water irrigation system, an extensive clubhouse with a gaming room, a restaurant and a function hall that is one of Tumut’s most popular wedding venues.
The Secretary/Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Club, including staff management (clubhouse and course), contract management (pro-shop and kitchen), financial management, gaming performance, and reporting to the board of directors.
The successful applicant will have experience in those core areas as well as possessing exceptional skills across human resources, financial reporting, leadership, communication, marketing, and general management and organisation.
This is a broad and varied role that requires a highly-skilled individual with the experience and desire to drive engagement, growth, activity, and therefore success. It is also a hands-on role that is calling for a manager with the motivation to lead by example and contribute across all areas of operation.
A salary package of approximately $80,000 will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
