Our primary objective is to increase participation in golf across Australia from grass roots to the elite level. Key responsibilities incorporate managing a full calendar of national championships and the Australian Opens as well as Rules and Handicapping. With a number of significant projects on the horizon they are looking for a commercially minded CFO & Company Secretary to join the business. Reporting to the CEO, you will form an integral partnership with the Board providing financial advice on a range of strategic and operational initiatives. This influential position assumes a broad mandate with oversight of Finance, HR, IT, Insurance as well as Company Secretarial duties. We require an individual with the initiative, decisiveness and collaborative approach to ensure Golf Australia continues to develop and grow the popularity of the sport. Additionally, you will be expected to offer leadership and counsel for major commercial decisions and large scale projects on an ad-hoc basis. You are likely to be a professional finance executive with proven experience partnering with senior management and a track record working across multiple corporate service lines. You must demonstrate dynamic leadership, a strategic mindset, the capacity to influence and ability to generate positive results as well as the capability to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This position will ideally suit an individual with tangible experience in project management, preferably within a commercially-focused business who is keen to add real value in a not-for-profit organisation.
