Senden shoots back-to-back 68s

American Nick Watney and Spaniard Sergio Garcia share the lead at the midway point of The Barclays in New York. Watney experienced fluctuating fortunes at the PGA Tour event at Bethpage State Park, Farmingdale, as he mixed four birdies with as many bogeys plus one eagle to sign off his second round on two-under 69 for eight-under overall. Garcia was far steadier in his round of three-under 68, as he signed off with four birdies and one bogey in his second round, with the Spaniard&aposs only blemish coming on the only hole he failed to make par in his opening round too – the par-three third. Fiji&aposs Vijay Singh and American Bob Estes both climbed the leaderboard on Friday, as Singh (four under) and Estes (five under) moved into a share of third place on seven-under overall. Singh went bogey free in his 18 holes, while Estes had six birdies and one bogey in his second round. Australia&aposs John Senden made it back-to-back rounds of 68 to be six-under overall, tied for fifth with American Pat Perez (one under). Americans Rickie Fowler, Tiger Woods and John Huh are next in, three shots off the leaders on five under, with Huh the best of the trio on Friday with a four-under 67. England&aposs Gary Christian is tied with those three on five under, after carding even par for his second round to be inside the top-10 at the halfway point. Defending champion Dustin Johnson is within range of the leaders in tied 11th spot on four-under overall, level with fellow American Ryan Moore, South Korea&aposs KJ Choi, Swede Henrik Stenson and Scot Martin Laird.
