Senior stays on track

Australian duo Matthew Millar and Peter Senior remain on course to secure their European Tour cards for 2008. The pair are locked at three-under-par, five shots off the lead, at the halfway point of the six round Tour School Final in Spain. Luis Claverie (68) and Pablo Larrazabal (71) lead the marathon event with three days to play. Senior and Millar are tied for 13th after 54 holes with compatriots Scott Barr (76) and Adam Bland (72) three shots further adrift. Senior, who fired a stunning 67 in the second round, matched his opening round of 73 on Saturday. Millar turned in a vital round of 69 to get him inside the top 20. The top 30 and ties will be rewarded with European Tour cards for the new season. The field will be trimmed to 90 after the fourth round of the play at the San Roque Club. Hoping to be survive the cut are Australians Terry Pilkadaris, who fired a round 70 to move to one-over-par and David Bransdon (74), who is four-over-par. Countrymen Gavin Flint (75) and Wade Ormsby (74) are even at five-over-par and in with a fighting chance. It looks a tougher task for Jarrod Mosely (76) at seven-over-par while Steve Alker (75) of New Zealand and the final Aussie, Adam Blyth (72), have work to do at eight-over-par.
