Shark circles at the Australian Open

Golf Australia and Events NSW on behalf of the NSW Government is delighted to announce that five-time champion Greg Norman will attend the Australian Open at New South Wales Golf Club. Norman will be involved at the Australian Open on Saturday and Sunday of the championship and feature in commentary with host broadcaster Network Ten. Golf Australia CEO Stephen Pitt said Norman s presence would add extra excitement to an already eagerly anticipated championship. It is fantastic that Greg is able join us at La Perouse, Pitt said. He has made a whole-hearted commitment to the Australian Open and it is incredible to think that we will have both Presidents Cup captains at the championship which will give it a really special feeling. NSW Minister for Tourism Jodi McKay said Norman will fulfil his role as an ambassador for Sydney promoting Australia s global city as the nation s foremost business, tourist and golf destination. We are thrilled Greg is able to travel to Sydney and we are working closely with his management on a range of promotional opportunities for our great city. United States Presidents Cup captain Fred Couples, who returns to the Australian Open after a ten year absence, will be joined by Australian stars including Geoff Ogilvy, Adam Scott, James Nitties, Greg Chalmers, Aaron Baddeley, Stuart Appleby, Michael Sim, Marc Leishman and Mathew Goggin. Americans John Daly, Steve Marino, Kevin Stadler and Bryce Molder will lead the international contingent.
