Vijay Singh shot a final-round 67 to finish on 11-under-par and win the Chevron World Challenge Thousand Oaks, California. Steve Stricker finished second, shooting a 68 to finish one stroke behind Singh. Third-round leader Anthony Kim and Hunter Mahan were four strokes back at seven under. Singh and Stricker both began the round on six-under-par, two shots behind Kim and a stroke behind Jim Furyk. But both Kim and Furyk struggled on the back nine, while Singh and Stricker shot an identical 32 on the final nine holes. Stricker and Singh were tied going into the final hole and the difference was a 10-foot birdie putt that Singh converted.
