The Sir Dallas Brooks Trophy and Victorian Men's & Women's Foursomes Championships are underway.

Players were treated to a brilliant sunny day at the Metropolitan GC. Leading the charge in the Sir Dallas Brooks field are local pair Kim Hastie & Sam Van Der Venne, assuming the top qualifying position tied on a solid nett 71 with Victoria’s Jesika Clark & Michael Sund (PGA). A further 14 pairs on the next best nett scores secured their spots into the knock-out match play rounds which will be played on Wednesday through to the final on Friday.

Clark & Sund’s 74 off the stick was the best gross score of the day in the Sir Dallas Brooks field and the Victorian Mixed Foursomes title went to the leading amateur pair Emily Smith (Huntingdale) & James Ford (Riversdale) on a score of 77.

Sean Klain (Ballarat) & Travis Tatt (Buninyong) were victorious in the Victorian Men’s Foursomes Championship with an excellent score of 73 off the stick. The Ballarat DGA pair finished 3 shots ahead of runner-up pair George Worrall (Kingston Heath) & Aiden Didone (Metropolitan), also taking home the Men’s Australasian Foursomes Shield.
