Six Aussies to final stage of LPGA qualifying

Australians have qualified for the third and final stage of the LPGA Tour's qualifying series, giving them big chances of winning a playing card for 2015.

Su Oh (third), Minjee Lee (fifth), Jayde Panos (41st),  Emma De Groot and Maggie Yuan (59th), Breanna Elliott (67th) all passed through the second qualifying stage in Florida today.

Victoria's Oh gave up her overnight lead with a final-round 74 to finish three shots behind the overall winner, Ginger Howard of the United States.

But neither Oh nor Western Australian Minjee Lee, who carded a 70 to finish tied for fifth, were in any danger. The top 80 players in the field automatically qualify for stage three, at Daytona Beach in early-December, where the top 20 players will extract LPGA Tour cards for next year.

The bonus today was the solid form of Golf Australia elite amateur squad member  Panos, Elliott, De Groot and Yuan.

Unfortunately Inhong Lim, Stephanie Na, Lauren Hibbert and Justine Lee (a) all missed out on qualifying.
