Clubs across the Central West of NSW are covered in a blanket of snow this morning as the State continues to cop the brunt of a freezing Sub-Antarctic blast.
Golfers in Orange awoke to snow falling with around 5 centimetres already covering the ground. More falls are expected tonight.
Duntryleague Golf Club resembled a Christmas-like winter wonderland covered in the fluffy white flakes.
“It’s weird, there’s no wind, just snow, no one is around,” Duntryleague Golf Club Pro shop staff member Tania Langbein said. “It’s really quite peaceful.”
Club professional John Furze seized the opportunity to do his best Fred Astaire impression in the brisk chill to the amusement of his staff.
“He’s threatening to come back in his Santa suit and slide down the slope on the practice fairway, he’s crazy, one of a kind,” Ms Langbein laughed.
