Snr Men�s Pennant – now under the auspices of Golf SA

2011 Senior Pennant Champions – Tea Tree Gully Golf SA is pleased to announce that the Senior Men’sPennant Competition will now come under the auspices of the Association with effect the 2012 season. The Senior Men’sPennant Competition commenced some five years ago with eight Clubs and has since expanded to ten Clubs. It is anticipated that the 2012 Season will comprise of two divisions of six teams in an expanded format. A Senior Men’sPennant Sub-Committee will be formed to administer the competition reporting to the Board of Golf SA through the Match Committee, similar to the current Women’s Events sub-committee. The broad concept of the Senior Men’sPennant Competition includes: Teams of seven (7) players Match Play played in strict handicap order Season played from mid-October to late November Rounds played on Mondays commencing at 12 Noon Two top teams play in a final while the remainder of the teams play a stableford competition Finals normally played at one of the sandbelt Clubs Expressions of interest to participate in an (expanded) Senior Men’sPennant Competition for the 2013 Season Golf SA have been sent to all Metropolitan Clubs and inner Districts. Golf SA is also ascertaining if there is interest in a similar Senior Women’s Pennant Competition. Link to 2011 – Final article
