The South Australian golfing landscape is set to change following an announcement that men&aposs and women&aposs associations may merge within 12 months. Key players in the South Australian Golf Association and Women&aposs Golf SA met recently to discuss the amalgamation of the bodies and signed a memorandum to outline steps that needed to occur for the move to go ahead. The groups also agreed on a basic structure of the new organisation and will shortly set about establishing voting rights and determining an inaugural board. Although the notion of a merger has been in the pipeline for quite some time, last week&aposs talks were the first formal steps to set the wheels in motion.
