Southlands gets into the swing of the NSW Open

The community feel of the NSW Open attracted the management of Southlands Shopping Centre to partner with Golf NSW as a sponsor of the State’s premier golf championship.

“We are excited to be involved in this opportunity. We value the links with our neighbours here at Twin Creeks,” Southlands Shopping Centre Marketing Manager Vanessa Sullivan said.

Ms Sullivan believes the event is the perfect opportunity to display the centre’s ties to the local community.

“It’s a terrific way to be involved with the Penrith community.” Ms Sullivan added.

The Centre, situated at South Penrith, boasts a Woolworths supermarket as its primary tenant alongside another 26 speciality retailers.

“There are lots of great shops, plenty of parking and a wonderful feel about the centre,” Southland’s Manager, Kate Radcliffe added. ”Our shoppers are loyal shoppers.”

It’s those shoppers the pair believes will turn out in force at Twin Creeks to watch Australia’s finest golfers compete for the Kel Nagle Cup and enjoy the tournament atmosphere.

“We are looking forward to a fantastic week at Twin Creeks and seeing our patrons out here enjoying some high-quality golf,” she smiled.

Golf NSW General Manager of Golf, Graeme Phillipson agreed. “It’s an ideal opportunity for the Penrith community to get out, support the golf and see some of Australia’s best golfers in their back yard.”
