Squad ready for Players Amateur

Fresh from his second place finish at the Sahalee Players Championship, AIS/Golf Australia National Squad member Daniel Nisbet will hope to be in the top end of the leaderboard during the upcoming Players Amateur in South Carolina. Joining Nisbet are fellow Golf Australia National Squad members Daniel Beckmann, Jordan Sherratt and Ryan McCarthy. It will be Beckmann and Sherratt&aposs first tournament appearance in the US in 2009 while McCarthy began his campaign at Sahalee with Nisbet last weekend. The Players Amateur is held annually and was first played in 2000. It is organized by the Heritage Classic Foundation, which also sponsors the Verizon Heritage on the PGA Tour. Previous winners include Camilo Villegas, Ben Curtis and Australian Aron Price.
