Srixon Pennant Finals wrap-up

Pennant Hills Golf Club has staged a withering comeback to beat Macquarie Links 4 matches to 3 in the final of the Srixon Division 2 Metropolitan Pennant yesterday.

Wins for Pennant Hills came from Jordan Garner, Jye Forrester, David Bailey and Andrew Richards.

“It feels fantastic mate, that’s our first Pennant for Pennant Hills since 1988 – 28 years, it's going straight into the pool room,” Pennant Hills Manager Murray Fogarty joked.

“Its been a terrific team effort, a great result for everyone involved.”

The Hills had too much mettle in the end, and Fogarty was keen to praise the win of his number five player Andy Richards.

“We got a few late matches up. Andy (Richards) won his last two holes to win 2&1 in the end,” he smiled.
