St Georges Girls win School Teams titles

> Final Results St Georges Girls High School from Kogarah, NSW are the new Australian School Teams Champions after winning at Peninsula Country Golf Club in Melbourne. In windy and rainy conditions, Keona Lee from St Georges Girls, played off 18 with 42 points in Round 1 (adjusted score of 43 points due to difference between men’s and women’s course ratings and pars). Lee was also the eventual individual winner with 77 points over the two rounds. Lachlan Hiam from AB Paterson College in Queensland playing off 32 had 37 points in shocking weather Round 2. The champions played with only two players in Round 2 due to Michaela Scheetz&aposs committments at a Jack Newton Junior Golf dinner in Sydney. The Australian Secondary Schools Teams Championship is open to all secondary schools in Australia (i.e. players in years 7 to 12). Each team consists of 3 players (boys, girls or mixed). Each State Association conducts a State Final, with the winning team from each State Final contesting the Australian Final. The Australian Final is played over 36-holes Stableford, with the best two of the three scores to count each day.
