Australia&aposs Jan Stephenson claimed her second straight Handa Australia Cup at Nedlands Golf Club on Sunday with rounds of 68 and 71 for a 36-hole total 5-under par 139. Five-time LPGA winner, Cindy Rarick finished in second place six shots behind Stephenson while Jenny Sevil was a further four shots back in 3rd place.

The Handa Australia Cup is a unique event in that it brings together some of the games past champions with both male and female competitors paired together. It also provides the opportunity for a select group of junior golfers the opportunity of a lifetime to play with some of the game’s greats. For the record, Peter Senior won the men’s event, with rounds of 65 and 68 to finish at 11-under par, four shots in front of Victorian amateur Nathan Holman. Ian Baker-Finch, Mike Harwood and Rodger Davis all finished on even par.
