Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club has won the TL Warren Trophy while Northbridge has taken out the W. Gibson Trophy in a thrilling day of finals at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club.
Stonecutters were too strong for Woolooware running out winners 2 1/2 to 1/2 in the B grade fourball matchplay competition.
It is the young club’s first pennant in its five-year history, and it left the team and supporters overjoyed with the result.
“It was a great team effort, there were no individual standouts,” Club Captain Jamie Ginns said.
“The camaraderie of the team got the job done today and throughout the year. We’ll be celebrating this win for weeks to come.”

In the W. Gibson C Grade final, extra holes where required before Northbridge Golf Club prevailed 2/1.
Northbridge’s James Lane and Brent Allan clinched it for northside club on the 21st hole after being four up through nine.
The team had a perfect 9/0 season, an achievement that Team Manager John Firkim was proud of.
“It was a great team effort,” Firkim said. “The team was undefeated throughout the whole season; they won their quarter and semi matches 2/1".
“It was an amazing final played in Great spirits,” he added.
