Rookie Squad members Rebecca Artis, Stefanie Na and Stacey Keating are among a ten-strong Aussie contingent at this week&aposs final Major of the year – the RICOH Women&aposs British Open at Royal Liverpool at Hoylake. The trio will be joined by World Number 21 Karrie Webb, Katherine Hull, Lindsey Wright, Karen Lunn, Nikki Garrett, Rachel Bailey and Sarah-Jane Smith in England&aposs North West. Na, Garrett and Bailey all came through Final Qualifying at the nearby Caldy Golf Club to make it into the main draw. Australia has fared well at the Major in recent years with Katherine Hull finishing runner-up in 2010 and Karrie Webb runner-up in 2009. Webb&aposs victory at the championship in 2002 completed her Grand Slam of Major wins on the LPGA Tour. World Number 1 Yani Tseng will be shooting for her third consecutive Women&aposs British Open title following victories at Royal Birkdale and Carnoustie in the last two years. It is the first time that the Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake has hosted this prestigious Championship The Royal Liverpool Golf Club, also known as Hoylake, is the second oldest seaside links golf course in England. Built on a racecourse in 1869, this famous course has played host to some of golf’s most historical moments, including holding the inaugural men’s amateur championship in 1885, the first international match in 1902 between Scotland and England and in 1921, the first international match between Great Britain and the United States, later known as the Walker Cup.
