Su-Hyun Oh through to quarters of U.S. Women’s Amateur

Golf Australia National Squad member Su-Hyun Oh has progressed to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Women&aposs Amateur in Cleveland, Ohio. Su-Hyun Oh from Melbourne and Nicole Zhang of Canada will meet in the first quarter final match, Friday at 12:45 p.m. (local time). Su captured the berth with a 4-and-3 victory over Jayvie Marie Agojo of the Philippines in the round of 16. From Cleveland, Golf Australia&aposa High Performance Director Brad James said “Su was very impressive today, she was 9 under par after 11 holes and her opponent was 4 under. It was certainly the best I have seen Su play over the last two years. Her putting and course management have been the most impressive parts of her game over the last couple of days.” Tasmanian Ashlee Dewhurst survived a great battle between herself and Victorian Breanna Elliott in the morning round of 32 match-up. The match eventually decided in extra time when Elliott double bogeyed the second extra hole after she had birdied the final hole of regulation to force the playoff. Dewhurst went on to lose her afternoon round of 16 match against Thailand s Ariya Jutanugarn when their match finished 3 & 2.
