It was another perfect morning for golf at Lonsdale today for the second and final round of the Surfcoast Senior Amateur. The Bellarine Peninsula has put on a show with the weather continuing on from a lovely afternoon at The Sands Torquay yesterday. Both clubs have been presented in fantastic condition and should be commended on their excellent hospitality.
Round 1 co-leader Robert Wallace finished in dominating style today, carding a 75 today for a 36-hole total of 149. The Midlands member thanked both clubs in his acceptance speech and mentioned how he had been looking forward to turning 55 and being eligible to play in the Victorian Senior events. 3 shots behind tied on 152 were familiar faces Greg Welsh and Peter Bence.

The 7 marker had solid rounds of nett 67 and 72 for a total of 139 to be three shots better than second and third place getters Larry Maxwell and Graham Bone. Maxwell enjoyed an impressive nett 65 today for the best score in the field.
