Tasmania Golf Club has defeated Prospect Vale to win the 2013 State Junior Pennant Final played at the Mowbray Golf Club. After enduring a weather delay the final was a closely contested event which required a sudden death play-off between Tim Cowen of Tasmania and Kiren Jarman of Prospect Vale. It was Cowen who held his nerve to sink a 2 metre putt for par after Jarman two putted for a bogey to deliver Tasmania its first junior pennant in 30 years. Earlier Blake Wellington, grandson of former state player Bill, played exceptionally well in the difficult conditions winning against Mitch Casteller while Harry Bevis was in front for most of his contest before winning against Tye Tuthill. Winners for Prospect Vale were Connor Campbell who claimed the scalp of State Junior Alex Fahey at the final hole and Jack Tregaskisjago went on a birdie blitz to defeat Luke Gilbert.
