Tasmanian Boys� Team Announced

Following the recent Tamar Valley Junior Cup and Tasmanian Junior Masters Golf Tasmania is pleased to announce the Tasmanian Boys Team. This six man team will contest the Australian Boys Amateur and Interstate Teams Matches at the Pinjarra and Bunbury Golf Clubs in Western Australia. Captaining the team this coming April will be newly crowned Tasmanian Junior Masters Champion and Smithton Golf Club member Ben Elliott. Returning to the boys team in 2013 are Prospect Vale s Jack Tregaskisjago and Riverside s Isaac Pinnington. Riverside s Kade Philpott, Tasmania s Alexander Fahey and Ulverstone s Ben Lewtas are also worthy inclusions in the team for 2013. Mowbray Golf Club member, Rod Eiszele, will manage the team in this his fifth year in role. Whilst Royal Hobart Golf Club Assistant Professional, Daniel Blackwell, has been named Coach. Golf Tasmania has also announced that Zachary Swan will travel with the team and participate in the Australian Boys Amateur under the Development Squad program. The Australian Boys&apos Amateur Championship will be conducted at the Pinjarra Golf Club from April 10-12 and is open to players aged under 18 years on the first day of play. It is contested over 72-holes stroke play (cut after 36-holes), with a handicap limit of approximately 4.4. The Australian Boys&apos Interstate Teams Matches will be conducted at the Bunbury Golf Club from April 15-18 and is Australia&aposs premier Junior Amateur Team Golf Championship. Each State and Territory is represented by six players with five players contesting singles match play each round in a round robin format.
