Tea Tree Gully Seniors make it five straight

Tea Tree Gully senior pennant players Chris Everett (Capt), Kevin Bew (Paradise Mazda), Phil Smith, Bob Crosby, John Lucas, Ken Brown, Mike Richards, Ron Davidson & Doug Gerow celebrate their vistory Tea Tree Gully have continued their dominance of the Adelaide Men&aposs Senior Pennant competition, with a fifth straight victory in the competition final held at Kooyonga Golf Club. Played in warm conditions at the immaculately presented Kooyonga layout, Tea Tree Gully defeated West Lakes 6 matches to 1 in this year&aposs final of the 2011 Paradise Mazda Seniors Pennant competition. Tea Tree Gully and West Lakes were the two top qualifying teams following nine round robin matches between the participating clubs. Despite the final scoreline, Sunday&aposs final proved a close affair with both clubs holding the lead in three matches and the seventh match tied after the completion of nine holes. Tea Tree Gully showed their experience thereafter in closing out 6 of the 7 contests. Since the inception of the Paradise Mazda Seniors Pennant competition in 2007, Tea Tree Gully has been the dominant force winning five straight titles.
