The accommodation booking deadline for the official Championship Hotels for teams competing in the 2008 WATC is fast approaching, with the cut-off date set at 2nd August 2008. With 69 male teams and 50 female teams registered to compete, only half of the registered teams have booked their accommodation at the official Hotels in Adelaide. Trevor Herden, Golf Australia Championship Director said, “Although team registrations have only just closed, there is genuine concern that a large number of teams have not booked accommodation or been in contact with our official accommodation facilitator. “It would be regrettable for teams to miss out on securing hotel accommodation within the city precinct as October is Adelaide&aposs busiest accommodation month of the year. “Golf Australia has worked hard with our accommodation partners to keep rooms on hold, however ALL rooms not booked by August 2nd, 2008 will be released. “Those countries who fail to book on time or who choose to go outside the Official WATC accommodation and serviced areas will struggle to get suitable facilities. “We urge all registered teams who have not booked their accommodation to communicate immediately with our official travel and accommodation facilitator as soon as possible”.
