The Golf Australia Team to play the annual match against the Australian Defence Forces has been announced.
The team members are Mike Peeck (Captain – Qld), Mark Abeyaratne (Vic), Mark Boulton (VIC), Wayne Buick (ACT), Kim Burke (NSW), Tim Deakin (Qld), Greg Ellis (NSW), Chris Everett (SA), Mark Gatty (WA), Tom Harold (NT), Bruce Lindner (SA) and Louise Mullard (NSW).
For the first time the eventwill see Australia’s current Mid Amateur Champions, Boulton and Mullard, form part of the team. Burke secured her position via her number one position on the GA Women’s Senior Order of Merit, while the remaining players were selected based on their performances in GA Senior Order of Merit events.
The event takes place at The National Golf Club on 25-27 March and is played in a Ryder Cup-style format over fourball, foursomes and singles match play.
