Teen Zach lights up Albury with 62

Fifteen year old Albury Golf Club member Zach Murray shot a 8-under par 62 during the club&aposs traditional Wednesday competition at Albury. Murray had 23 putts and although it wasn&apost played off the back plates, it&aposs believed to be the lowest score ever shot in competition play on the Albury course. He had 9 birdies , 8 pars and a bogey on his final hole. Murray, one of the leading golfers in the Murray District Golf Association, is heading to Perth in September to compete in the School Sport Australia Golf Championships. At only 15 years of age, and playing off a handicap of 1, Zach has established quite an enviable record. He has recently been crowned the 2012 MDGA District Champion, the 2012 Commercial Albury Golf Club Champion and the 2012 Howlong Open Champion. Additionally, he has also represented the Commonwealth Golf Club in Melbourne as a member of their Colts Pennant Team that won the 2012 title.
