The 2012 Yarra Yarra Ray Barned Senior Amateur concludes

The 2012 Yarra Yarra “Ray Barned” Senior Amateur was played today in a magnificent sunshine. The windy conditions and tricky greens tested the competitor’s skill on the narrow Yarra Yarra layout. With many of the 100 players competing struggling, it was Stefan Albinski (Mona Vale) who shot a round of 76, narrowly defeating David Edwards (Pennant Hills) and Dennis Dale (Twin Creeks) by one shot to win the Ray Barned trophy. Kevin O’Brien (Federal) and Pat Giles (Goonawarra) were also solid in their rounds, shooting 78 and 79 respectively in testing conditions. In the nett section it was Kevin O’Brien that took out the honors with 72 nett, notching out David Edwards and Pat Giles on 73 nett.
