Jack Thompson from the Port Lincoln Golf Club has won the Golf SA Country Junior Boys Championship for a second year in a row.
Played at the Copperclub Golf Club on Sat 19 & Sun 20 Sep, Thompson claimed the 54 hole Championship with a total score of 232 (78, 69 ,85).
Brodie Whitbread from Fleurieu Golf Club finished runner up, one strokes back on 233 ahead of Caleb Perry from Mt Gambier on 237.
The Southern District team of Brodie Whitbread (Fleurieu), Brett Tilson (Victor Harbor), Cameron Bickley (Willunga) and Nathan Jelf (McCracken) took out the Boys Team Event.
The following players: Brodie Whitbread, Caleb Perry (Mt Gambier), Andy Fiebig (South Lakes) and Jhett Perry (Mt Gambier) will represent South Australia in the Border Challenge in mid-March 2015 in Victoria.
Charley Jacobs from Ardrossan GC claimed the Girls Championship ahead of Shakira-Ann Kuys from Port Augusta GC.
Jacobs had rounds of 82, 82, 92 (316), to finish 30 strokes ahead of Kuys on 346.
